Canonball!!

Couroupita guianensis/The Cannonball tree. You can find a few of this trees specimens  in Cubbon Park/ Bangalore.

The tree grows quite high and the flowers are beautifully bright against the brown twigs and trunk of the tree. They have strong fragrance. Once the flower falls and the petals fall of the center of the flower reminds me of an ocean anemone.

The fruit looks like a large coconut from the outside but inside it is the color of an avacado and looks similar to a melon.

Be careful while observing this tree as the fruits fall hard like a canonball and burst  open on contact with the ground.

If you find this tree do leave a comment here.

MISS U

This is seen somewhere near Varthur Bangalore on the main road leading to Dommasandhra Circle.

The area has many new walls and open spaces.

It is fast becoming part of the city with new apartment buildings being built and new school facilities nearby.

Every time I pass this way I notice this graffiti. This is not the only one. There are quite a few 'sorry's on walls. But this message makes me smile everytime I see it.

I will always wonder who and why they did this. Who were they missing so much that they had to let the world know. I know it could be something as simple as someone who was vandalising the walls with graffiti.

I wonder how many others have seen this.

Nature Vs Manmade

Beautiful tree with man made wiring?
According to wikipedia "Delonix regia is a species of flowering plant in the family Fabaceae, subfamily Caesalpinioideae."

It is also known as the Flamboyant tree or "Gulmohar". These trees line many streets of Bangalore. Beautifully bright orange or red in color, usually flowering in May.

Summer Rains in Bangalore

A rainy night in Bangalore. Reflection of light on a terrace somewhere in HSR Layout.

iSee Bangalore

iSee Bangalore is mostly a photo blog.

As I seem to have endless photos on my phone, I have been wanting to share them.

This blog is the place for me to share my photos of Bangalore.

At the beginning it may be more than a single post a day.
